Mission Can

December's Mission Can is designated for the Adams County Literacy Council
which is a non-profit volunteer organization that sponsors one-to-one
tutoring in basic reading and English. The classes are free to adults who
want to learn English or earn a GED. For class schedules or to volunteer
your time, see the materials at the Mission Can bulletin board.

The Mission Committee formerly headed by Martha Ford is looking for volunteers. Please contact Jackie Angleberger at 624-8388 if you are interested in serving on this committee in 2004.

HOLIDAY REMINDER: This is the last week to use the hallway mailbox. Bring your cards and postal monies for the jar. Check slot for your cards. THANK YOU for supporting our UMW project!

Extra luminary order forms are in the literature rack and coat rack area.
Support the youth and help make our Christmas Eve service special. Thank you.

Look for the 2004 flowers, bulletins, greeters and liturgist sign-up charts on the hallway bulletin.

The Christmas offering envelopes for the Benevolent Homes that were in last week's bulletin are now in the hallway literature rack.

Last week's altar flowers were placed in memory of Newell Carey by his
family. The flowers on the piano were placed in appreciation for Carty
Bates sticking with Bob for 41 years. Congratulations! The Bulletins were
in honor of Andrea Pritt's 16th birthday by her family.

We wish to thank everyone for your prayers, cards, hugs, and comforting
words. Your Christian love during this difficult time has touched our hearts. Thank you.

Tape Ministry - Our members in nursing homes and those unable to get to church and now able to hear our Sunday services and feel a part of the church congregation. If you know of a shut-in and would like to take a tape to them, please call Ed and Charlotte Moore @ 334-1716. We owe David Schmidt a debt of gratitude for helping us in recording these tapes.

REMINDER: Please remember to call or e-mail the office by Tuesday prior to the Sunday you are sponsoring bulletins or altar flowers. Phone or mail reminders are no longer being issued - that information is now part of the newsletter. All announcements to be placed in the Weekly Vision must also be in the office by Tuesday.
