 WELCOME
to the Gettysburg United Methodist Church!

WELCOME in the name of the Lord! We thank God for your presence among us and during this Lenten season, we praise God for his righteous Son, who perfectly kept all of God's commandments for us and paid the full price of our disobedience. May our hearts be filled with Christ's spirit of obedience as we give Him all the praise and glory for our lives.

Opportunities for Ministry

On March 11 Adams County Habitat for Humanity will celebrate its 15th
anniversary of building homes for the need with a banquet at the Gettysburg
Fire Hall. If you would like to attend this event, please call Bob Hoylman
for details at 334-0573.

USHER TEAMS are needed for the following months: March, September and
December. If you are interested in serving on an Usher Team, please contact
Peggy Hunt at 337-0539. Thank you!

PACESETTERS will meet Saturday, March 13th at the Shamrock Restaurant for dinner at 6:00 pm. Call Joyce Richmond at 642-8107 for reservations if you have not already made them.

The Trustees and Admin Board have approved a proposal to create a permanent Endowment Fund Committee in accordance with 2533 of the Discipline to receive, administer, and invest bequests, trusts, and trust funds in such cases where the donor has designated the endowment committee or church to receive, administer, or invest the same. To carry out this proposal we're seeking 3-5 volunteers to serve as committee members. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with interest in developing a stewardship program for our church. The committee would meet approximately four to six times a year to administer those bequeaths already given to the church and to develop a gift giving program for the future geared to meet the needs of the church and it's members. Those interested please contact Larry Speer.

The spring 2004 CROP WALK is scheduled for April 18, 2004 at 2pm with
registration at 1:15 pm. This year's focus is 'Women and Children" and a
goal of $8,000 has been set for fundraising. Try to support this worthy
cause if you have time that day. Keep an eye out for additional information
in future bulletins. If you have any questions, please see David Williams.

The Pictorial Directory Committee is finalizing the layout for the church directory. If your committee is interested in submitting a picture for the directory, please contact Peggy Hunt at 337-0539 as soon as possible. Due to cost constraints, the committee will only be able to choose a certain number of pictures to include in the directory.
