committee meeting last week due to illness. However, a mission for 2004 has
been selected: The Adams County Homeless Shelter.

Opportunities for Ministry

 

Come to WORLD DAY OF PRAYER luncheon and service, sponsored by Church Women United, on Friday, March 5 at Christ Lutheran Church. Lunch will be served at noon and the service begins at 1:00 p.m. Reservations for the luncheon should be made by March 1. The $4.00 charge is payable at the door. Call or contact Ruth Anna Polley at 334-5069 or Georgia Doersom at 334-2529.

Money will be collected for Blankets for Church World Service "BLANKET THE
WORLD WITH LOVE" - a church worldwide Service Program providing hope, warmth
and love in times of disaster and great need. A modest $5.00 will buy, ship
and distribute one blanket. You can help make a world of difference.

U. M. Women is sponsoring a kitchen shower for supplies in the church kitchens. Everyone can participate by donating paper towels, detergent, etc. to replenish the supplies.

USHER TEAMS are needed for the following months: March, September and
December. If you are interested in serving on an Usher Team, please contact
Peggy Hunt at 337-0539. Thank you!

St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church will be presenting its Second Annual Black
History Extravaganza
in honor of African American History month. The event
will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2004 from 6 - 10 pm at the Gettysburg
Recreation Park. A donation of $10 per person is being requested. The
program includes entertainment as well as dinner. For information, please
contact St. Paul A.M.E. Zion Church at 334-9851 or Susie Hython at 337-0921.

SUMMER CAMPING MINISTRIES NEED YOU!
Employment begins with a week of training, starting around the second week of June and concluding August 21. Most positions involve working six days a week and often require more than an 8 - hour day. Pay is $200/2k, plus room and board. Paid positions available are Lifeguards, Program Staff, Food Service and Maintenance. Volunteer positions available are Counselors, Camp Nurses.

We invite you to use one to follow along in the reading of today's scripture.

Tape Ministry - Our members in nursing homes and those unable to get to church and now able to hear our Sunday services and feel a part of the church congregation. If you know of a shut-in and would like to take a tape to them, please call Ed and Charlotte Moore @ 334-1716. We owe David Schmidt a debt of gratitude for helping us in recording these tapes.
