Thought for the Week

"Sometimes New Year resolutions reflect our longing for a better,
stress-free, healthier life. And we set ourselves to a regime that actually
increases our stress and doesn't hold up for long! So perhaps our new year
might begin with a resolution to "take care"-for the sake of a world that
needs citizens who have found ways to survive the madness and uncertainty
and can show that Jesus Christ does offer life in all its fullness. Take care!"

Opportunities for Ministry

The Mission Committee formerly headed by Martha Ford is looking for volunteers. Please contact Jackie Angleberger at 624-8388 if you are interested in serving on this committee in 2004.

Marie Clabaugh will be turning 90 on January 3. Her family has requested a
card shower for her milestone birthday. Please send cards to Marie
Clabaugh, Green Acres Nursing Home, 595 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, PA
17325. Please help make Marie's 90th birthday special.

Look for the 2004 flowers, bulletins, greeters and liturgist sign-up charts on the hallway bulletin.

Mission Can suggestions are needed for the year 2004. If there is a
specific charity for which you would like to see the mission can designated please see Pastor Joyce.

Regular and large print Bibles are available at the back of the church for your use.
We invite you to use one to follow along in the reading of today's scripture.

Tape Ministry - Our members in nursing homes and those unable to get to church and now able to hear our Sunday services and feel a part of the church congregation. If you know of a shut-in and would like to take a tape to them, please call Ed and Charlotte Moore @ 334-1716. We owe David Schmidt a debt of gratitude for helping us in recording these tapes.
